Softener is sodium ion exchanger, which is composed of ion exchange pressure vessel (or ion exchange column), sodium type positive resin, multi-way valve and salt box regeneration system.

The shell of the ion exchange column (device) is generally made of hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC), hard polyvinyl chloride composite glass (PVC-FRP), plexiglass (PMMA), plexiglass composite transparent glass steel (PMMA-FRP), steel lining glue (JR), stainless steel lining glue and other materials.

Working principle:

The resin is mainly used to release sodium ions to exchange calcium and magnesium ions in the water, so as to reduce the hardness of the water. After the resin saturation failure, NaCl is used to regenerate and recover the failed resin.

2Na-R (resin) +Ca2+ = Car +2Na+

2Na-R (resin) +Mg2+ = MgR+2Na+

The softener system runs as follows: operation → regeneration (backwash, salt absorption, replacement, forward washing) → operation.

Conditions of use:

1. Working pressure: 0.2-0.6Mpa; The best is 0.3 MPa

2. Raw water hardness: ≤6mmol/L(such as raw water hardness >6mmol/L, need to add lime to soften)

3. Raw water temperature: 5℃-50℃

4. Power source: AC220V, 50Hz; Power: 10 to 40 w

5. Water hardness: ≤0.03mmol/L
